July 16, 2023 — Is AI aware?
Curiosity came to visit and had me wondering if each set of eyes we look into can mirror consciousness and awareness. Think about it: the awareness of awareness.
As you’re reading this, you’ve most likely got your phone held in your hand. If so, set your phone down and take a moment to play along with me.
Raise your hand with your palm facing you — how aware are you that this is part of you? Now, run circles with your other set of fingers along the palm of your raised hand — have you ever paused to appreciate the sensation of your self touch?
For some reason, we just know that this sensation on this area derives from this particular action. Separate from acknowledging how science makes this possible, we’re simply aware that this is all happening and possible. I certainly am — are you?
I try to describe this feeling with words, but in all honesty, the description of awareness of awareness is only possible through experience. Most of us play this game of life with checklists rather than appreciation. It’s unfortunate, really.
Depending on your individuality, we know that the colour blue is blue; that the burn of fire burns; the distinct characteristics of freshly baked brownies fill our senses with joy; the abdominal ache that comes with too much laughter; the screeching pain that’s caused by metal scraping on metal.

How often have you imagined the whole world listening in to your story? Not through fame, spotlight, or by choice — through paranoia.
Living in a mansion in my head, I imagine rooms bullet pointing every whispers I’ve made from young to now; screenplays revisiting choices I shouldn’t have; based-on-true-story reenactments altered to picture a what-could’ve-been reality.
“Be in the present,” they say. But how can I, when the past and the future are spontaneously unfolding. Eager to get out, disciplined enough to play the game.
Living in a mansion in my head, I still choose the one that I have in fourteen million six-hundred and five. My paranoia is an academy filled with lessons keeping me grounded in what I’ve survived.
I’m proud that I’m stronger than the character I imagine the rooms imagine me to be — through reflection, I am.

With the expansion of this space, Cosmic Creator Studio becomes a platform for artists to showcase their creativity to provoke curiosity. Ultimately, we aim to build a community of like-minded souls, and collectively expand awareness through art — in whatever form the mind, body, and soul makes possible.
